SYNOPSIS

At 38 years old, Laura, a first-generation Asian American, has spent her life conforming to societal and family expectations, fueled by an insatiable desire to please. While she measures her worth through achievements, her quest for romance remains unfulfilled, eroding her already delicate self-confidence. Faced with yet another uninspiring holiday season at her CPA job in sunny Los Angeles, Laura makes a daring choice: she decides to quit her job and dog-sit in London for her best friend Angelique, venturing into her first solo international trip. Angelique encourages Laura to embrace uncertainty, advocating for carefree dating and approaching life without preconceived notions. Through a series of dates and adventures, a profound romantic transformation takes shape, ultimately revealing that the primary love Laura must embrace is for herself.
